Fountain City Floozies Under the Big Top

Katie Crook and Jessica Rodgers aren’t just sisters, they are Pink Hat Sisters! This year they took center stage as Master of Ceremonies for the Party Under the Big Top at the fourth annual Kansas City FUNvention. In prior years, their mother, Lorry Heenan proudly hosted the event, making this a true family affair.
The three-day celebration was chock-full of fabulous festivities, kicking off Friday evening with a formal night and lively dance party. Saturday morning brought out bra hats and pajamas for a playful start, followed by line dance lessons, a charm exchange, Bingo, and craft workshops. Of course, no Red Hat event would be complete without plenty of shopping and giveaways!
Entertainment was in full swing with a hula hoop dance team dazzling the crowd. The weekend wrapped up with a circus-themed costume contest and another dance party. Categories included Best Ringmaster, Best Clown, and Best Other Circus Costume.
Best of all, this FUNvention was a joyful gathering of Hatters, full of fun, food, and friendship. We’re pretty sure freedom, fulfillment, and fitness found their way into the Big Top too!
