Hatter’s Birthday Poem
Published

Someone’s having a birthday
She’s sporting a bright purple hat
Her outfit is red
Because the Queen said
On our birthdays we each should do that
That means that we have to go shopping
To be ready to dress in reverse
For a purple chapeau
And some red that won’t go
Perhaps some new shoes and a purse
Now isn’t it fun to be silly
In upside-down purple and red
This change once a year
Makes it perfectly clear
That birthdays are nothing to dread.
