Mable's journey with the RHS was shaped by her educational background in social work and human services. Her retirement from a role as a social worker for the Big Brothers Big Sisters program allowed her to redirect her energy and expertise toward a new chapter in her life. Equipped with a deep understanding of human interactions and the motivation to help others thrive, Mable found the perfect platform for her skills within the RHS community.

Traveling has always been one of Mable's greatest interests, though the pandemic temporarily curtailed her adventures. However, her creativity and love for sewing flourished during this time, with Mable crafting exquisite wedding gowns for family brides. This hobby provided her with a source of joy and self-expression. As a result, Mable's own zest for life spilled over into her role as a Queen, inspiring her to introduce the RHS to her members and share the boundless fun and friendship it brings.

Mable's journey as Queen of the Charm Girls chapter began with a cozy luncheon at her home, where five enthusiastic ladies eagerly embraced the idea of the RHS. Today, her chapter has grown to 30 members, each contributing to a vibrant community of support and camaraderie. Two remarkable members, one turning 99 and the other 95, serve as a testament to the enduring spirit of the RHS. Mable celebrated these milestones by presenting personalized "birthday tributes" from governors and mayors, showcasing the pride and encouragement shared within the society.

The Charm Girls chapter extends its reach beyond its own events, actively engaging with other chapters to foster networking and idea-sharing. Despite living in Maryland, Mable has found supportive members in Delaware, North Carolina, Georgia, Florida, and Texas. One significant connection Mable cherishes is her bond with Ambassador/Queen BJ Young from Lewis, Delaware. This friendship enabled her to participate in RHS events and join the Queen's Counsel of Delaware, providing invaluable insights and experiences.

The pandemic posed challenges, but the Charm Girls chapter persevered and even thrived. Through virtual platforms like Zoom, Mable and her members stayed connected, organizing informative sessions, engaging in games and teas, and maintaining a strong sense of sisterhood. The chapter's resilience and growth during this time served as a testament to the profound impact of the RHS on their lives.

As an Ambassador/Queen, Mable V. Jarmon has found solace, inspiration, and newfound purpose within the Red Hat Society.
