Born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland, USA, I go by the royal title of Your Glad Hatter. A friend's fascination with the Red Hat Society led us to establish a chapter at Harford Senior Center in February 2011. I stepped into the role of Queen when my friend hesitated. Lucky me, it’s good to be Queen!
A little about me, after graduating from the all-girls Western High School, Baltimore, MD, I pursued some college courses in math and paralegal studies. While a dedicated federal employee, my most rewarding role was as a Program Analyst for SSA, where I translated complex federal laws into everyday procedures.
Outside of work, I indulge in reading various book genres, but my true excitement lies in college basketball. Every November, I embark on an annual pre-season tournament tour across cities, marking the start of the basketball season.
As a Red Hat Queen, my strength lies in listening and problem-solving, values reflected in my favorite quote: "I thought of you today...and then I smiled." The monthly 2nd Friday Red Hat Breakfast gathering, where we share a simple meal and welcome potential members, holds a special place in my heart.
In this digital age, I favor the RHS website, Facebook and Instagram to share my zest for life. So, come see me there. I emphasize embracing the present and connecting with others on their journey. My life is a testament to this philosophy; I cherish every moment and strive to understand life from diverse perspectives. Happy Hatting!
