Queen of the Month: Suzy Morris

Suzy Morris, Queen of The Mad Hatters in Wonderland, royal name is Queen of the Nile. It was a heartfelt handoff from a fellow Queen in Oklahoma, this vibrant sister has embraced the title as both a legacy and a personal emblem of her journey. Born in Jordan and raised in sunny Southern California, she grew up navigating diverse cultures, building bridges of understanding, and learning the power of community.

With a degree in Early Childhood Education and the life-earned wisdom of motherhood, recovery, and entrepreneurship, she blends grace and grit daily. As the owner of Loving Hands Daycare, formerly a nationally accredited 5-star large home daycare in Oklahoma, now thriving in Arizona where she lives now, her days are full of lessons, laughter, and little miracles. By noon, she’s already played teacher, chef, comforter, and conflict negotiator.

Her story took a romantic turn in 2013 when a mutual friend introduced her to Robert. Sparks flew, and life unfolded quickly with marriage later that year and now two beautiful children adding to her joy and purpose.

It was her grandmother-in-love, Diana Skrah-Devers, Queen Purseonality, who introduced her to the world of red and pink hats. That first event felt like coming home; a room filled with bold, supportive women, and open arms. She knew instantly she belonged. Since then, she’s helped others feel the same, especially as a part of the Queens Council hosting Oklahoma’s unforgettable World Wide Hoot Day, an event overflowing with sisterhood and Red Hat magic.

Whether she's donning vintage flair, lifting others through creative writing, or leading her Chapterettes, she lives by words that echo her fearless spirit: “Imperfection is beauty, madness is genius, and it’s better to be absolutely ridiculous than absolutely boring.” (Marylin Monroe) She believes in making space for every woman to shine and celebrate each woman exactly as she is. Reminding her sisters that it’s okay not to have it all together but it is never okay to dim your light.

To her, this isn’t just a society, this is a sisterhood. “Whether you’ve just picked up your first pink hat or you’ve been wearing red for years, never forget: we are stronger, brighter, and bolder together.”
