Get ready, Red Hatters—Mamma Mia! is back on Broadway, and we’ll be there to say “Gimme! Gimme! Gimme!”
Since its dazzling debut in 2001, Mamma Mia! has been a worldwide phenomenon, delighting more than 65 million people with its irresistible blend of heart, humor, and the timeless music of ABBA. The original Broadway run at the Winter Garden Theatre spanned over a decade, becoming one of the longest-running shows in history before its farewell in 2015. Now, nearly a decade later, the smash hit returns to its iconic home—the Winter Garden Theatre—inviting a whole new generation (and some of us who’ve been dancing queens for years!) to sing, laugh, and fall in love all over again.
The story follows Sophie, a spirited young bride-to-be on a Greek island paradise, determined to discover the identity of her father before her wedding day. Her search brings three men from her mother Donna’s past back to the island, setting the stage for a joyful, heartfelt tale of family, friendship, and finding where you belong. And, of course, the soundtrack is pure magic—featuring ABBA’s chart-topping hits like “Dancing Queen,” “The Winner Takes It All,” and “Take a Chance on Me.”
