When Queen Michele from Utah planned her visit to California with her daughter Elizabeth, she knew it would be a memorable trip, but she could never have imagined just how magical it would become. Their journey led them to the heart of the Red Hat Society—Hatquarters—where they were warmly greeted by CEO and Queen Ladybug Debra Granich, the RHS staff and our Founder and Exalted Queen Mother, Sue Ellen Cooper. It was an unforgettable moment for Queen Michele and Elizabeth, a chance to see the roots of the vibrant sisterhood they cherish.
The excitement didn’t stop there. That evening, Queen Michele and Elizabeth joined Queen Ladybug Debra for a very special occasion: a REDuation event at Queen Anita Martinez-Chacom’s home. Queen Ladybug Debra was set to preside over the ceremony honoring Pink Hatter Sheilani as she turned from Pink to Red!
As Queen Michele stepped into Queen Anita’s home, the room lit up with recognition and joy. The two Queens instantly realized they had shared unforgettable adventures together on two RHS cruises: one to Mexico in 2023 and another to the British Isles in 2024. Their reunion was a dazzling reminder of how the Red Hat Society creates bonds that span miles and years, weaving an intricate web of friendships.
The evening continued to sparkle with surprises. Lorraine, another RHS member, brought a guest named Patty to the REDuation. Patty was awestruck by the sight of the joyful gathering and the magic of the ceremony. Witnessing the camaraderie and energy of the Red Hat Society, Patty couldn’t resist joining in on the fun. In a burst of excitement, she joined RHS and became a member on the spot!
