Why Knot? Red Hot Sistahs Get Married to Fun!

On July 19, 2026, eight fabulous members of the St. Louis Arch and Metro East Queens Council gathered in St. Louis, Missouri, for an unforgettable celebration called Why Knot? Hosted by the Red Hot Sistahs, the event featured a bridal shower followed two days later by a delightfully unconventional wedding, proving once again that laughter, sisterhood, and imagination are always worth celebrating.

Since 1998, the Red Hot Sistahs have been creating joyful memories, building lasting friendships, and embracing life with enthusiasm throughout the St. Louis area. Known for their welcoming spirit and playful creativity, they have long believed that life is simply more fun when shared with sisters. Their Why Knot? celebration captured that philosophy perfectly.

The festivities began with a bridal shower honoring the eight “brides,” complete with decorations, games, laughter, and plenty of photo opportunities. Every detail reflected the warmth and lighthearted spirit that has defined the group for nearly three decades.

Then came the main event: a mock wedding unlike any other. The officiant welcomed the brides, honored guests, friends, and even the inflatable grooms, whose silent devotion throughout the ceremony earned more than a few laughs. This wasn’t a marriage to responsibility, stress, or everyday obligations. Instead, each bride proudly pledged herself to a lifelong commitment to fun.

The vows were both humorous and heartfelt. The brides promised to seek joy in every season of life, laugh loudly, dance proudly, dress boldly, and continue making memories no matter what anyone thought about their age.
