RHS Worldwide Hoot Day is the day each year that Hatters, collectively around the globe, pick a local location to meet, spread the news to all we know, don our flashiest hats, and show up to play! After a quick “hello,” we chat, meet new sisters, lunch, and shop. No agenda, no fuss, totally relaxed and fun! It’s a great day to introduce guests to the Red Hat Society mission of encouraging women to get the most out of life through our brand of fun and friendship!

Here is a flyer that you may download to print and fill-out to give to your favorite venues to post in their windows. Restaurants appreciate knowing in advance when flocks of Hatters may descend and shops love to display our colors in their windows to let us know that we are welcome. Let’s let them in on our fun! Note that this piece is specifically designed as a handy general-purpose Hoot Day flyer to use for Hoots held anytime of the year.

HATQUARTERS LOCAL HOOT
Hatquarters is delighted to extend an invitation to all members of the Red Hat Society and guests, who will be in the area, to join us for the upcoming local RHS Worldwide Hoot Day. This year, we have selected the charming Fullerton Train Station in beautiful Fullerton, CA as our destination. We hope you can join us on Saturday, June 17, 2023, for a day packed with excitement, camaraderie, and unforgettable memories.
VENUE
Fullerton Train Station 120 East Santa Fe Avenue Fullerton, CA 92832
TIME
Gather at 11:00 AM. Onwards: lunch, meander, and enjoy the day at your own pace.
TRANSPORTATION
You may reach the Fullerton Train Station by train (costs vary) or car (parking $5 daily).
11:00 AM – Hatquarters staff will briefly greet everyone at the Fullerton Train Station from the trackside patio of a cute little spot called the Santa Fe Café. Introduce yourself to sisters that you don’t know.
11:30 AM – Picture time! We’ll take an official picture in front of the train station to commemorate the day!
11:45 AM – Mini strut parade!
ONWARD – SCATTER TIME!
We’re on our own to munch and sashay our way around Fullerton’s quaint downtown. Good restaurants are plentiful. Click here to see Fullerton restaurants and shops. One of the closest restaurants to the station is The Old Spaghetti Factory. The Springfield Tea House, where the Red Hat Society’s first tea was held, is only three city blocks north on Harbor Blvd. Reservations for tea are a must. There is an Irish pub and a bar that plays country music after 3 PM, if you are up for that. For a fast bite, the Santa Fe Café features among other delights, Queenie’s Weenies. (What can we say?! We can’t make this stuff up!)
